Senior Residents Shine: Exploring Blood Banking and Neuromuscular Monitoring

Our latest round of senior resident presentations featured two outstanding talks from Daniel Heinze, DO, and Bianca Rich, MD.

Dr. Heinze captivated the audience with his presentation titled, "Dr. Landsteiner, or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Blood Bank," where he explored the intricacies of blood banking and its crucial role in patient care. His approach emphasized the importance of understanding the evolving techniques and best practices in managing blood resources in the perioperative environment.

Chief Resident Dr. Bianca Rich followed with an informative presentation on "Neuromuscular Blockade Monitoring and Antagonism." Dr. Rich discussed the latest advancements in neuromuscular blockade monitoring and the effective use of antagonists in clinical practice, highlighting how these tools can enhance patient safety and outcomes during surgery.

These presentations reflect the dedication and expertise of our senior residents, who continue to contribute to the advancement of anesthesiology practice. Congratulations to Drs. Heinze and Rich for their exceptional work!
