Chief Resident Linnea Dixson, MD, Secures Full Funding in Highly Competitive Wellness Grant Cycle
We are excited to announce that Dr. Linnea Dixson, one of our outstanding Chief Residents, has successfully secured full funding for her wellness grant proposal during the highly competitive FY25 Graduate Medical Education (GME) Wellness Grant cycle. Her proposal, titled “Anesthesia Resident Bonding and Resiliency Sessions,” was awarded $1,000 as part of the GME Wellness portion.
This year’s GME Wellness Grant cycle saw a record number of applications, making it one of the most competitive cycles to date. Despite the fierce competition, Dr. Dixson’s initiative stood out, earning full funding amidst a crowded field of excellent proposals. Each grant requires a dollar-for-dollar match from the programs, emphasizing the shared commitment to supporting resident wellness.
Dr. Dixson’s project focuses on strengthening the bonds and resilience among anesthesia residents, addressing the crucial need for mental health and well-being support in medicine. Her dedication to enhancing the wellness of her peers is commendable, and we are proud to support her efforts.
Congratulations to Dr. Dixson on this significant achievement in such a challenging grant cycle. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact of her project on our department and its residents in the coming year!
